First Post... Why The GOP Won't Win

I've been listening to Rush this afternoon and I came to the realization that there is no way that the Republicans can win this election in November. The Republican party is too fractured to be able to unite behind one candidate. The two biggest wings of the Republican party are the secular values, fiscal conservatives, and the religious values conservatives. The republicans that vote for candidates based on some kind of religious dogma are thick-headed. There is no way to convince them to give up a little of that religious conservatism for a more electable candidate. So therefore the secular value conservatives have to make a sacrifice. That is why Mike Huckabee is going to be the Republican candidate. The religious section of the Republican party is just too big and won't give up some of those values. And that is how the Democrat's are going to win. Right now I would say that there is a 2/3 chance that the Democrat's win.
